Majid Al Futtaim Rules Out Single-Use Plastic by 2025
8 billion kgs of plastic flows into the oceans every year. As a response to this global challenge of phasing out single-use plastics, we ushered in a new era of sustainability for #MajidAlFuttaim - one that will impact the region.
#MajidAlFuttaim - Retail Chief Executive Officer, Hani Weiss, and Chief Sustainability Officer, Ibrahim Al-Zu’bi announced our plan to phase out all single-use plastic from all our operations and ventures by 2025. All Majid Al Futtaim ventures will reduce single-use plastic to 0%.
Quoting Hani Weiss: "We need to use natural resources and that is the only way we can move forward. We need to think like our grandparents and reuse everything which goes back to nature."
