Lulu Retail Strengthens Saudi Footprint with New Riyadh Hypermarket and Local Produce Initiative
Lulu Retail Holdings has expanded its presence in Saudi Arabia with the opening of a new 63,995-square-foot hypermarket in the Tuwaiq district of Riyadh. The launch is part of the group’s ongoing 2025 expansion plan aimed at meeting growing consumer demand and enhancing retail accessibility across the Kingdom.
The new store offers a comprehensive mix of fresh food, groceries, household essentials, fashion, electronics, and ready-to-eat meals, reflecting Lulu’s focus on convenience and high-quality service. The addition reinforces the brand’s position as one of the region’s most trusted and customer-centric retailers.
Earlier this month, the company also opened a hypermarket in City Walk, Taif, bringing its total number of outlets in Saudi Arabia to 64.
Alongside its retail expansion, Lulu has launched the Saudi Pomegranate Season, an initiative designed to highlight the quality of locally grown produce and support Saudi farmers. The campaign promotes the flavor and freshness of homegrown pomegranates, encouraging shoppers to choose local fruits as part of the brand’s broader effort to back national agriculture and sustainability goals.
The event was attended by senior Lulu executives including Executive Director Ashraf Ali M.A., Global Operations Director Salim M.A., Fruits and Vegetables Director Zulfiker Kadavath, and Lulu KSA Director Mohamed Haris Puthiyaveettil.
The dual initiatives reflect Lulu Retail’s long-term commitment to strengthening its footprint in Saudi Arabia while promoting local products and contributing to the Kingdom’s food security and economic diversification objectives.
