MAKHANA
Makhana, also known as foxnut or Gorgon nut (Euryale ferox), is an aquatic crop cultivated in shallow water bodies, primarily in Bihar, India. It's a high-value crop with increasing demand both domestically and internationally, offering nutritional and medicinal benefits. Makhana cultivation, however, is labor-intensive and faces challenges like lack of mechanization and limited market infrastructure.
