Roger Jann

Roger A. Jann is a Swiss business leader with a long career as CFO and CEO of US-listed companies and in private equity, and co-initiator of 5BDBC, an initiative that makes the economic case for treating nutrition as critical infrastructure: as fundable, measurable and strategic as energy, transport or telecommunications.
Having allocated, raised and answered for capital at the highest level, he approaches food systems the way an investor does: where is the return, where is the risk, and what does it take to scale? He works at the intersection of foodservice, applied nutrition science, longevity research and capital markets, and tests the thesis in live field pilots rather than in slide decks.
Roger runs Nature4Growth and has long worked on sustainable urban food systems and personalised nutrition. His work on the 2000-Watt Society, smart cities and net-zero pathways for sustainable cities has taken him across Switzerland, Europe, the Middle
East and Asia.
