Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) was established in 1962 as a non-profit organization with a membership that includes (9,000) industrial enterprises classified under several industries varying in size from small to medium and large industries. ACI forms and develops a framework to crystallize the industrial point of view of its members on economic issues in general, and industrial issues in particular, where the Chamber cooperates with the ministries and relevant governmental and non-governmental organizations in addition to international donors that deal with economic and development issues. Within its geographical jurisdiction, the Chamber aims to look after the interests of industrial enterprises, strengthen ties between industrial chambers’ members in addition to contribution to promotion of Jordanian industrial products. Vision: To have a leading role in serving its members and to be a main driver for developing the national industry and enhancing its competitiveness. Mission: To represent and advocate the interests of the industrialists, also to offer them unique services and programs in order to fulfil their needs and expectations and enhance the competitiveness of the Jordanian industrial products towards strengthening the national economy. Main Activities: 1. Issuance of certificates of origin of Jordanian industrial products. 2. Organizing several technical and financial support programs and services provided to its members covering different management, technical and business development areas. 3. Organizing meetings, workshops and training courses aimed at increasing member’s capabilities in various areas in addition to discussion of the industrial issues. 4. Contributes to organizing exhibitions, trade delegations and promotion of activities aimed at developing Jordanian exports. 5. Contributes to the promotion of investment in Jordan. 6. Contributes to the development of the local society.
